Breathwork for Body Mind Spirit (new & improved)
Have you wondered what monks who meditate in the cold Himalayans with thin clothing have in common with some top athletes and special Navy forces?
They share the ability to hold high mental focus and physiological responsiveness in stressful circumstances such as cold exposure. They know how to use specific awareness and breathing to consciously regulate their body’s autonomic nervous system. In fact “stress” is used for a positive purpose in raising their potential.
This new & improved 60-mins guided breathwork class introduces you to the ancient practice common in many spiritual traditions which is now validated by science and gaining popularity among anyone interested in optimising their performance.
Not only cellular energy will increase dramatically after practising this kind of breathwork. People have reported feeling calm, clear-headed and energised. With deepening practices after this class you may progressively build up your immunity, regulate your nervous system, optimise endocrine functions and overall adaptability to stress, not just resistance to cold and better fat metabolism.
Most remarkably for anyone living in Hong Kong, breathwork provides a quick, easy and effortless way to access the meditative state anytime in our daily life.
In this new and improved version, you will start with guided breathwork with stretching (and notice how much easier you can stretch with specific breathing techniques), then after a few rounds of guided breathwork practice, Thomas will guide you through body awareness and journeying (a bit like “Yoga Nidra”) to leave you in a very calm and balanced state.
While this practice may improve on conditions that lead to asthma, if you are currently experiencing asthmatic attacks, this practice may not be suitable for you.
If you have any health condition that interval deep breathing may trigger, you are advised to consult your primary health care practitioner before you join this class.
This practice cannot replace medical treatment.
