Immune Supporting Supplements

Updated: 17th Feb 2020

If you are living in Hong Kong or a modern city, eat out, not growing your own food or eating organic all the time, you are likely to be deficient in some or many nutrients that you need for optimal health. And we have even mentioned drinking coffee and eating white carbs and sugar which further deplete our micro-nutrient reserves.

You are what you eat but more so what you are able to digest and assimilate. Most people we see do not not have optimal digestive function and it is so common with high EMF radiation and stress in modern living.

Appropriate Supplementation Proven to Support Immune Function

We agree with orthomolecular medicine (nutritional medicine) authority Dr. Andrew Saul in supplementation especially in this time with the Coronavirus epidemic.

“Physicians have demonstrated the powerful antiviral action of vitamin C for decades. There has been a lack of media coverage of this effective and successful approach against viruses in general, and coronavirus in particular.

It is very important to maximize the body’s anti-oxidative capacity and natural immunity to prevent and minimize symptoms when a virus attacks the human body. The host environment is crucial. Preventing is obviously easier than treating severe illness. But treat serious illness seriously. Do not hesitate to seek medical attention. It is not an either-or choice. Vitamin C can be used right along with medicines when they are indicated.”

While strictly speaking, no one can say for sure will supplementation will be useful for the COVID, the approach we take is one that is based on common sense and logic. And we are not just saying COVID-19 is the only risk to our health we want to reduce. We are saying how we can create a highly functioning immune system that keeps us from all preventable diseases in general.

Our staff team are provided with these supplementation and highly encouraged to follow the dosage recommended here to support our overall immunity.

Vitamin C: 3,000 milligrams (or more) daily, in divided doses.

Vitamin D3: 2,000 International Units daily. (Start with 5,000 IU/day for two weeks, then reduce to 2,000)

Magnesium: 400 mg daily (in citrate, malate, chelate, or chloride form)

Zinc: 20 mg daily

Selenium: 100 mcg (micrograms) daily

DOSAGE:

If you are someone who gets sick every winter, or you would like to support recovery from also manifested symptoms, the above dosages are reasonable and may even be increased.

Otherwise you can also follow a dose that is lower, depending on your dietary intake  and how well your body is absorbing nutrients. For children reduce by body weight.

(Dr Saul’s website and archive is a great resource for intelligent and proactive people to get well researched nutritional news. With more research on their website you may understand why you hear so much about the risk of taking supplements but almost nothing about what supplements can do.)

Additional recommendation from us:

From our experience and verified with Bioresonance, on top of the above, we also regularly take an appropriate practitioner grade probiotic supplement, and we rotate to ensure we have the best mix of beneficial flora. As up to 70% of our immunity is in our gut, a suitable probiotic is quite essential; and for more synergy, energy required for vitality, we use a Food-Based B Complex.

The Inner Defense is a long time immunity favourite with those who understand the power of essential oils approved or oral consumption, a blend of Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Rosemary, Eucalyptus and Lemon. (Essential oils as in the natural defense medicine plants make for their use, not chemical lab-created fragrance).

We would also add that the fact that diverse quality in the supplement market also does not help the consumer either. Food-based supplements are a lot more bioavailable and the required dose can be much lower as well. But in times of emergency, taking synthetic ascorbic acid Vitamin C (which is what you get from most health food store) is still better than taking nothing, although we prefer our practitioner grade products or whole food products.

For long term health, making better food choices and other lifestyle adjustment is of course paramount and will be well complemented by conscious supplementation.

NOTE:

All the above suggested supplements we have them in stock and have been tested to suit majority of individuals. Not all we display on our webstore because they are recommended after consultation.

How to Know What You Need?

To support your supplementation decisions, bioresonance assessment with our nutritionist can help give you instant pointers on your deficiencies, and save you money down the road on ineffective supplements. We offer 20-mins complementary first trial. (Thereafter you can select by the time you require.)

This approach can complement with functional medicine tests (if you choose to do) which cost more and require longer waiting time, by showing you tendencies first.

Also in a full Bioresonance Health Consultation (with food test), one can get clear about what foods strengthen them and what weakens them. When we make better food choices, our digestion function will improve, we can keep inflammation under control, and our immune and nervous systems will also function more optimally.
