“Super” Guocamole (Avocada Dip with Spirulina)

Prep time: 5 – 10 mins

Yield: 2 serves



2 ripe avocados

1 tablespoon fresh lime or lemon juice

1 small sweet onion chopped

1 small ripe tomato

1/4 cup chopped parsley or cilantro

1 clove garlic, minced

(optional) a pinch of himalayan sea salt and a pinch of pepper



1.    Peel avocados and remove pits, reserving one pit.

2.    Mash avocado meat in bowl.

3.    Grate one small ripe tomato into the avocado. Discard tomato skin.

4.    Add remaining ingredients (onion, parsley and garlic). Add lime juice and mix well.  Stir and serve.

To keep Guacamole longer, add avocado pit, then cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes before using. Adding the avocado pit helps to prevent the Guacamole from turning brown.

Superfood addition: sprinkle spirulina crunch over it for added micronutrients, protein and texture!
