The Aroma Freedom Technique (AFT) is a process developed by clinical psychologist Dr. Benjamin Perkus. Having been trained in multiple modalities in healing, Dr. Perkus has created AFT which integrates many schools of psychotherapy with energy psychology and aromatherapy, into a simple process that anyone can learn and benefit.
Smell is the only one of the five physical senses that is directly linked to the limbic lobe of the brain – our emotional control centre. Aroma can be used to facilitate release of emotional trauma, and induce powerful and automatic response altering body physiology and behaviour.
How is AFT done?
AFT is a step-by-step process for identifying and releasing negative thoughts, feelings, and memories, by using pure and specific essential oils in conjunction with specific awareness steps.
Why do AFT ?
By the use of the AFT simple process, blocks that have been holding one’s back may be removed, allowing one to experience greater sense of clarity, joy and possibility in achieving one’s goal’s.
AFT is such a quick process to do that it can be adopted to the daily life of any busy person to simply maintain clarity, calm and balance.
It can also be incorporated into any healing process to support easeful release of emotional trauma.
Your AFT practitioner
Our founder Anita Cheung is Hong Kong’s first Certified Aroma Freedom Technique practitioner.
She takes an integrative approach in supporting her clients to achieve balance and their wellness goals.
As she has been trained in many other emotional healing and coaching modalities such as EFT, NLP etc, she would use appropriate tools that she feels will best suit the client’s needs in the session.
