TRE® (Tension Release Exercises) & Singing Bowl
We know we need to clean and exercise our body regularly to stay healthy – but what about doing exercises that cleanse our body from daily stresses and bathing ourselves in harmonising sound frequencies?
Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE®) is based on the fundamental idea, backed by research, that stress, tension and trauma are both psychological and physical. TRE® has been taught all over the world to successfully release stress for generally healthy people, athletes as well as victims of trauma.
TRE® is a series of exercises that assist the body to release deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma by activating a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating, releasing patterns of stress held in the muscles and myofascia. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the nervous system and the body naturally return back to a state of balance.
TRE® is designed to be a self-help tool that, once learned, can be used throughout one’s life to proactively buildup of stress and to maintain long term balance.
In this class you will start with gentle warm up and stretching, followed by receiving guidance on activating your reflex tremor in the hip flexor muscles lying down on the floor. The exercises are friendly to all fitness condition.
In the second half of the session, sound vibrations of Himalayan Singing Bowl will further support the release of tension and trauma in the body, while the nervous system and the body’s energetic field is further balanced.
This 90-minute session is limited to 14 participants only. Each participant will receive individual guidance on TRE® and sound therapy.
This class can be a perfect way to end a busy week while effecting profound healing on many levels during and after the class.
Anne Cousin is a Globally Certified TRE® provider and a Registered Somatic Movement Educator trained in Body-Mind Movement Education and Therapy at The Center for BodyMindMovement ( PA, USA). and Somatic Experiencing® Provider with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. Anne is also trained in Chi Nei Tseng, a Taoist healing bodywork. Anne is a life long student and is a citizen of the world. She is French and grew up in West Africa, and she has been a wellness practitioner since 2004 starting out in Shiatsu massage in Paris.

- if you had any kind of abdominal surgery within the past 3 months.
Yoga mat will be provided. But you are also welcome to bring your own mat. Please arrive about 10 minutes earlier to settle. You don’t want to miss the beginning where Anne will introduce the technique of TRE and how this technique has helped people!
